Dear Karl McManus Foundation (KMF) Supporters,
As the founder of this organisation, I am sharing this update to provide an explanation to recent events and problems some may have experienced with the KMF websites and social media.
The foundation has recently suffered from the actions of some individuals who have attempted to divert the organisation from its’ original purpose to suit their own agenda. When they have failed to achieve this goal, they have acted vindictively to interrupt the foundations’ operations by the theft of websites and interruption of related services.
The board and I take this matter very seriously and are perusing all appropriate channels to rectify this situation including criminal and legal action against the perpetrators.
We apologise for any interruption and confusion this might have caused and we are working hard to reverse the damage done.
We also stands by the foundations’ original mandate, to follow scientific views emerging from in-progress research and to strive for positive outcomes for science and Australian patients of tick borne diseases. We remain undaunted by these recent events and are committed, as always, to delivering on our mission.
